Congratulations to all of the artists who exhibited in our Contact Photography Festival show, This City II! A broad spectrum of perspectives of the city of Toronto from landscapes to portraits, this group of work was a sequel to our Contact show last year.
Big thanks to CBC Arts and Leah Collins for covering our upcoming Contact group photography exhibition: This City II. The piece features six of the fourteen photographers in the exhibition and does a great job delving into the motivations behind their work and the philosophy behind this exhibition.

Big congrats to Laura Thipphawong on a very successful first exhibition with Coldstream Fine Art! Can't wait to see what the future holds for Laura and what her next series of paintings will
We had such a wonderful time at the 11th annual Art Gems auction this week in Toronto! The event surpassed its goal and raised $190,000!!! These funds benefit Creative Works Studio, an initiative which offers arts-based activities and involvement for those suffering with mental illness. Art therapy! We were so happy to have contributed pieces to the auction (from Harrison Taylor and Alex Landon Richardson), and congratulate all the artists, participants, and attendees on their much-needed generosity. The more supported and normalized mental illness becomes, the more healing can take place.
Coldstream Fine Art will be closed for the long weekend on April 14th and 15th. We will reopen on Tuesday, April 18th. Happy holidays to all!
We're thrilled to have Laura's amazing work on show at Coldstream! The work is fantastical and very thoughtful, as Laura has a strong grounding in theory and research. Themes of fairytales, violence, sexuality, fear, and her own personal history all inform the pieces.
Congrats to both Ben Sellick and Mr. Hydde on a great two-person exhibition at Coldstream Fine Art in March. The exhibition was an all-around success! Great work guys!
Congrats to Deanna Burns, the second of two OCAD SCIN students to use our project space for their graduating project. Deanna exhibited her mesmerizing Beneath The Surface video installation from March 21st until April 1st. Great stuff Deanna!

Our current exhibition, "Details, Details", featuring the work of Toronto-based artists Ben Sellick & Mr. Hydde, is fresh in the gallery, having just opened last week. The pieces on show demonstrate an extraordinary attention to detail and have a youthful vibe.
Coldstream Fine Art is proud to be hosting the exhibitions of two talented OCAD students! Talia Teeger currently has her work on display, and Deanna Burns will be unveiling hers on March 23rd. Both are graduating from OCAD's Sculpture and Installation program. We're excited to be involved and have already had enthusiastic responses from visitors to the gallery.

Bodies is the first time exhibiting work together for German twin sisters Hanna and Franziska Barczyk. The focus of the sisters’ work is the emotional and physical state of the human body. Its shape and form is portrayed in their work through bold, vibrant images that evoke the body at rest, at play, and in passionate interplay with its environment. The viewer experiences how the same unifying theme, the human form, is portrayed by identical twin sisters with similar, yet different, life experiences.
Public opening Saturday, November 26th from 2:00-5:00pm. Both artists will be in attendance for the public opening and will give a short artist talk at 3:00 and 4:00.
Show Dates: Bodies runs from Nov 26th - Jan 7th
